The Demco Recon series offers several 21K fifth-wheel hitches designed to mount directly onto a gooseneck ball. While all three models share a 21,000 lb towing capacity and a double-pivot head design, they are engineered for specific bed types and gooseneck ball clearances.

The 21K Recon for Gooseneck Ball Mount is the standard model for traditional truck beds with a gooseneck ball that sits above the bed floor. The 21K Recon for Flat Deck (model 6316/8550046) is designed for flatbed trucks with recessed balls, and the 21K Recon for Aluminum Flat Decks (model 6459/8550069) features a taller base to clear the deeper recessed pockets often found in aluminum beds.
